This large New York Real Estate Development firm is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.
A Maintenance Tech.
is responsible for general maintenance assignments and performing day-to-day facility repairs.
The ideal candidate must have knowledge of all aspects of Garden Style Apartments.
Duties will include but are not limited to, responding to all resident service maintenance requests, moving out, and turning over repairs.
Heatherwood is looking for responsible, reliable, hands-on, and committed candidates.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Essential functions are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
Must possess knowledge in the repairs of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, HVAC/boilers, etc.
Ensures that work order requests are responded to and resolved in an efficient and prompt manner.
A candidate must be able to write clearly and communicate effectively.
Must be able to use company IPads and/or work tablets to close work orders.
Organize, prioritize and ensure service requests and repairs are made correctly and in timely manner.
Responding to and repairing move out and turnover repairs in the apartments.
Basic skills spackling/sheetrocking.
Cleaning:
must be willing.
Boiler knowledge a plus.
Air conditioning knowledge a plus.
Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features daily to minimize liability concerns and ensure excellent curb appeal at all times.
Candidate must possess a high standard of work quality.
Ensure adherence to the company's safety and hazard communications programs, policies and procedures.
Must be committed to maintaining a high level of customer service.
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Other tasks or duties as assigned by Superintendent.
Snow removal is mandatory.
Work as part of a team.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
Have own tools.
Deadline and detail oriented, reliable, and highly dependable.
Teamwork is a must/proper attitude, neat and orderly.
Prior experience in Maintenance Tech position and/or industry a Plus.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer and Internet knowledge.
Ability to use Outlook.
Ability to operate and understand personal computer functions and company-utilized software packages.
