7 Quick Apply Part-time 9 hours ago Full Job Description The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for assisting the Physical Therapist with physical therapy interventions as needed.

Responsibilities:
E- Connotes Essential Functions E-1 Implements and reviews physical therapy interventions as necessary to meet consumer needs.
E-2 Provides in-service training for staff in regards to physical therapy interventions.
E-3 Participates as directed as a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team.
4- Coordinates with the Nursing office evaluations for the consumer's need for PT as recommended by physicians as well as the on-going provision of service.
5- Participates in consumer admissions, movement and discharge procedures as needed.
6- Participates in projects and committees as needed.
7- Attends and participates in Clinic and department meetings.
8- Provides consultation for staff when requested in regards to suggestions, ideas and information for on-going PT programs or other interventions.
9- Orders and maintains department supplies and durable medical equipment as needed.
10- Interacts with consumers, clinical staff and other agency staff in a positive manner to facilitate the development of good working relationships and to enhance consumer relationships and their skill development.
11- Ensures required information is maintained in consumer's records.
12- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures 13- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS A.
Associates degree in Physical Therapy B.
One Year experience or training with DD population C.
Valid NYS driver's license D.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
